GranTorino HB

The GranTorino HB sofa designed by Jean-Marie Massaud is like a small piece of architecture. Together with the horizontal surface of the seat, the large backrest creates a very well-defined space. The sofa becomes an intimate yet dynamic place of refuge. The high armrests combined with the backrest create a continuous volume but terminate just before the seat to create a sensation of openness. Thanks to the almost invisible blade-type supports, the sofa appears to float in space. The leather exterior, clean cut using the saddlery method and processed with manual stitching, is the epitome of luxurious solidity. The enveloping padding of the fabric upholstery guarantees comfort and relaxation. The fabric features the X-stitching that characterises Jean-Marie Massaud's furniture designs for Poltrona Frau.
Inspired by the bedroom, the designer gives the owner maximum freedom when it comes to putting the seat together. Aside from the cushions included, other smaller cushions can be added according to taste.
GranTorino HB expands the GranTorino system of sofas and armchairs and can be combined with other elements from the collection. A high-impact product, it is the ideal sofa for large living rooms and the most sophisticated residences, but is also suitable for the contract segment. In addition to the upholstery in Cuoio Saddle® Extra leather/fabric, there is also a version that pairs Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System with the fabric. All fabric covers can be removed.
The seat structure of the GranTorino HB is in metal tubing with interwoven elastic belts. The padding is composed of a sheet of pressed wadding, differentiated-density polyurethane foam and polyester wadding. The cushions are in goose down and polyester wadding with a polyurethane foam stabilising insert. The feet are in titanium-colour coated aluminium with protective plastic caps. GranTorino HB is available in the large armchair, the two-seater and two-seater large sofas, and the three-seater and three-seater large sofa models.
