Heritage Collection

In a tribute to Baccarat’s time-honoured traditions, James de Givenchy has created the Héritage collection. His new lighting collection is inspired by the exceptional pieces in the Baccarat archives. James de Givenchy pays tribute to the spectacular work of Georges Chevalier in the 1930s, and transposes the famous Cordon, Diamant and Orgue vases into lamps. With their clear crystal base under a lampshade in white fabric, he has diverted this selection of iconic pieces away from their original function and given them a whole new lease of life.

In the same spirit of reinterpretation, he was inspired by two other legendary pieces, the Louxor and Eye vases. He has kept the diamond surface of Thomas Bastide’s Louxor vase, and transformed it into a lamp crowning it with a reflector. And as an extraordinary symbol of achievement, the Eye lamp brings to life the illusions and curves of the famous vase designed by Nicolas Triboulot. The Héritage collection bears witness to the history and vocabulary of the most visionary designs that continue their extraordinary adventure today.
