Gulets have evolved over the last thirty years into spacious and comfortable coastal cruising vessels. Unfortunately they exist in all qualities and standards of construction, hull materials and seaworthiness, which combined with local formalities and regulations can rapidly transform a dream into an expensive nightmare!

Impartial Advice
As marine surveyors, we exist on our expertise and independence. We have personal experience of the majority of boatyards and repair facilites in Turkey and understand the Gulet charter business. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
Gulet Condition and Suitabilty
Gulets come in all manner of shapes and designs! Though some have been built and equipped to withstand the rigours of an ocean crossing, the majority have been constructed for summer coastal cruising. Please bear this in mind.
Registration & Regulations
BMS has MCA (UK Marine Coastguard Authority) compliance surveyors who can advise on and issue UK certificates. RCD (EEA Recreational Craft Directive) compliance can also be an issue.
We understand local Turkish regulations, so whichever flag you choose for your vessel, we can advise on its suitability.

BMS has internationally recognised surveyors and experts who can assess the condition and suitability of the Gulet for its intended purpose.
