The motto of Poltrona Frau that celebrates its 100th anniversary this year is in harmony with the “imperfection” theme of Istanbul Design Biennial: “It’s true: Wrinkles are a Sign of Beauty”.
Can “imperfection” itself be an expression of beauty and uniqueness? Wrinkles, soft and natural little pleats, as those featured on the leather of the Vanity Fair armchair by Poltrona Frau, are signs of uniqueness and of beauty.

Celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2012, Poltrona Frau will contribute to the Biennial with an installation expressing the mastery of curves and imperfections and (one-day/one-off) craftsmanship demonstration.
