Continuing its activities since 1989, BMS A.Ş. participates in Istanbul Design Biennial with the theme “imperfection” with 2 exhibits.

The theme of Herman Miller Exhibition that will be held in Bilstore Şişhane for Design Biennial with the theme “Imperfection”: “Seating in an Imperfect World”
The ideal of Herman Miller is to create a healthy working environment. Sitting is an imperfect act for people. It causes imperfections in spine and muscle structure. No two people are alike but Herman Miller chairs fit 99 percentile of population. It aims to prevent imperfection and to create a simulation of sitting in the air. Chairs that are not perfect and are made of recycled content (used materials available around us) respect the environment.
Chairs that transform imperfection into function will be promoted under five headings in the biennial:
Revolutionary:
Aeron; revolutionized the way people perceive seating from foam and fabric to mesh chairs.
Healthy:
Embody; found a solution to sitting that is unhealthy for the body with its technology.
Eco-friendly:
Mirra; dematerialized chair with minimal environmental impact (thanks to the percentage of recyclable materials used in production).
Attainability:
Everyone deserves a good seating. This becomes possible by Sayl where recycled and minimum materials are used.
Simple:
Setu; achieved to combine multifunction with simplicity.
Chairs will be introduced with separate videos in the installation.
